FAQS
What is a cellar door?
A cellar door is a tasting room where wineries welcome visitors to sample and purchase wines directly from the source. The term has deep roots in Australian wine culture, originally referring to the literal door to the winery's cellar where wines were stored. Today, cellar doors have evolved into intimate hospitality spaces that offer personalised wine tastings, regional food pairings, and the opportunity to meet winemakers and learn about the craft behind each bottle. At South Australia cellar doors like ours in Tanunda, you'll experience wines in the region where they're made, gaining insights into the terroir, winemaking philosophy, and stories that make each wine unique. It's wine appreciation at its most authentic—tasting where the wine is born.
Where is the Millon cellar door located?
Our cellar door is located at 58 Murray Street in the heart of Tanunda, one of the Barossa Valley's most celebrated wine towns. This prime location places you within walking distance of numerous Barossa Valley cellar doors, boutique shops, and acclaimed restaurants, making it an ideal stop on your South Australian wine journey. The historic building on Tanunda's bustling main street provides both convenience and character—you can easily explore multiple venues in a single afternoon whilst experiencing the vibrant atmosphere that makes the Barossa Valley such a special destination.
